Here we are, OLIMPIA !!!!

In Olimpia, holy place dedicated  to the goddess HERA, young pilgrims competed in a run to decide who should have had the honour of turning on the torch 
and taking the holy fire on the altar of sacrifice.

	This could be the origins of the run into the stadium, the basis of the Olympic Games. These are the ruins of the old Olimpic Stadium, where the competition took place.
